Don McCullin: The Battle of Hue, February 1968

Photojournalist Don McCullin’s images of war brought the grim reality onto Sunday breakfast tables for two decades . Especially famous are the photos he took of US marines fighting on the front-line in the Battle of Hue in February 1968. 

Hue is remembered as one of the toughest battles of the Vietnam war.

Below is the plan of the Tet Offensive in 1968 showing major clashes between US and South Vietnamese forces on the one hand, and Vietcong Guerilla and North Vietnamese Army Units on the other.
