This issue, we’re giving away three copies of Barbarossa, courtesy of Headline Publishing.

Drawing on previously unseen material from the Russian archives, Barbarossa, by Stewart Binns, is the extraordinary story of one of the most horrific encounters of the Second World War.

Running from the German invasion of the Soviet Union in June 1941 to the appalling circumstances of the Fall of Berlin in April 1945, and told from the perspective of the people of Russia and Eastern Europe, Barbarossa is a heart-rending account of tragedy, suffering, and heroism.

Stewart Binns paints a uniquely intimate picture of the war from the Soviet side of the conflict. He presents this dark moment in history in panoramic detail, matching sweeping accounts of tactical manoeuvres with harrowing personal stories of civilian hardship and bravery.

This issue, three lucky winners will each receive a copy of Barbarossa. For more information about Headline Publishing, visit their website at www.headline.co.uk.
